6. Shameless Shopaholic

Hi my name is Lily Anderson and I have an online shopping problem.

Currently my status is:
Tobi with a current total of $61 (Thank god for that 50% off site wide sale!),
Forever 21 with a current total of $197 (I thought Forever 21 was supposed to be cheap..),
Nasty Gal (not what it sounds like) with a current total of $274,
Free People with a current total of $1,101 (lol).
REVOLVE with a total of $1499 (whelp),

That all adds up to a grand total of $3132............shit   -_-

I never have any idea of how to narrow my shopping carts down so I eventually wait until half of the items run out of stock or run out of my size to make the shopping cart have less and less items, without me having to do anything. But then the occasional one item you absolutely love runs out of stock and you hit a deep deep despair. You then proceed to email the company begging them to buy more of that item and that you will for sure buy one. There also is the annoying time when you order for example a bikini top and they send it to you in the right size and right color but in the bottom instead of the top.... like seriously how hard is it to read the receipt and see that I ordered the top and not the bikini bottom. The other really annoying thing is when you order your normal size in dresses and for some reason that dress you ordered is either way to big or way to small so you have to return it and have them send back the different size but you needed that dress for a formal that weekend and its now impossible to get the dress in time.

After experiencing all of these struggles, I still continue to online shop, and therefore, I admit that I have a problem.

5. Beloved Blues

A Stylish Outfit for a Rainy Day:

On this rainy Saturday, I decided to pair my black jeans with my Stuart Weitzman over the knee black leather boots, my grey v-neck long sleeve Tee, my blue denim jacket, and my clear plastic umbrella. Now to accessorize (a necessity to finish off any outfit) I have on my gold Michael Kors watch, a gold ring with a J, for my middle name James, engraved on it, and simple diamond earrings. Now for the statement piece I have on my favorite necklace of all time. It's from JCREW (ps-I love all of JCREW's jewelry) and I just thought that the blue stones would compliment the blue jacket and fit well with the blue melancholy day. My statement necklace is then accompanied by my Stella and Dot arrow necklace, that I wear and never take off because I'm a Pi Phi and one of our symbols is an arrow, my Tiffany necklace, and my bar necklace with ΠΒΦ engraved on it that my mom gave me.

4. Feminine Flowers

Every girly girl has a soft spot in her heart for a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I, in particular, love all combinations of types of flowers as well as all their different color combinations in a bouquet. God only knows how I will pick my wedding bouquet! I do have to say though that lilies are my absolute favorite flower. I have them on my desk at home as well as on my desk at school. There may be a little bias behind this, but nevertheless, to me, lilies optimize grace, simplicity, femininity, elegance, sophistication, and a liveliness.

Growing up with the name Lily, I think my parents were hoping that I would gain all the attributes listed above and more. I'd like to say without sounding too pretentious that I think I have most of those aspects about me. That may be the reason my best friends actually call me Lily Flower...To them, I am Lily Flower in their phone contacts, on Instagram, and in their hearts forever. I asked them why they call me Lily Flower. They said it is because my soul is a delicate as a flower.

3. Sorority Status

http://smupibetaphi.tumblr.com

As stupid as it may seem, there is no better feeling than realizing that your picture or Instagram has made it onto your sorority's Tumbler. You have FINALLY made it in life! lol. jk. But it does come with a very satisfying feeling.

However, everything involving that tumbler is superficial. Even with knowing how superficial it is, you can't help but give in to that amazing feeling that you were good enough. Because of this, you have gotten it down to a science of knowing what it takes to be chosen for the Tumbler.

The qualifications to be on the Tumbler include:
1. Good looks (real or facetuned, both are happily accepted)
2. The best clothes (preferable designer or on trend)
3. The perfect girly pose (such as clinking champagne classes with your BFF)
4. An exotic background (aka we can travel all over the world)
5. And most obvious, any skinny Pi Phi in a bikini will be on the Tumbler. No questions asked.

That being said, it tends to be the same girls who appear on the tumbler, the girls who are "the face of Pi Phi." The tall, skinny, often blonde, fashionable girl who travels all over the world having fabulous and envious backdrops.

The Tumbler is basically saying that to be the perfect Pi Phi at SMU you need to be able to capture (or fake) those 5 things in a picture. What ever happened to caring about the characteristics or personalities of the girls in the sorority? You might be surrounded by gorgeous people but if they are all fake bitches is it really worth it to be apart of their sorority?

2. Adequate Addiction

I started a Pinterest account this year during my winter break. Now it is safe to say that I am addicted.

I absolutely LOVE Pinterest, although in some ways it can be argued that Pinterest ruins people's lives (and by people's lives, I mean mine):
1. In easy/boring classes that allow computers, I inevitably end up pinteresting, and therefore, miss important side notes and announcements.
2. I see all these really cool hair styles or makeup looks and think, "okay I am going to try this look out for one of my sorority mixers this week." As always the look ends in tragedy as the braid or curl will not lay how it is supposed to or the makeup contouring is way to complicated and I'm now running out of time to finish getting ready.
3. Living in dorms believe it or not, is NOT glamorous. Pinterest sure does a good job or rubbing this in by all the cute apartment and house decoration ideas.
4. Lastly the WORST part about Pinterest is seeing all the cute clothes and outfits and not being able to buy it all! Seriously devastating.

However, I continue to Pinterest on a daily basis. Feel free to follow me as my number of followers is truly sad (SHOUT OUT to Addie Gardner yay! and Kathy Moore, who I don't know...)

1. Liberated Lily

The first tattoo I want to get is the coordinates of Newport Beach, California. 33.6167º N, 117.8975º W is special to me because it is where I have lived all my life and it is where my family will stay for the rest of their lives. I have found myself getting more homesick this year than ever before. Therefore I think that if I get this tattoo I will always be reminded of home and the loved ones I left behind no matter how far away I am. I will know a part of home is permanently with me. I want to get this tattoo on the bottom arch of my right foot. I want my tattoo to be somewhat similar to the tattoo that Cara Delevingne has on the bottom of her foot that says "Made in England" but more sentimental and classy.
